Kevin Sloane started in the restaurant business in 1981. From washing dishes at Zaros Bakery in NYC to waiting tables, managing, and bartending, he has worked in all facets of the restaurant business. In 1993, Kevin opened the Barrel House Bar and Grill in Boulder, Colorado. At the time, he was the youngest recipient of a liquor license in the state. After taking a brief hiatus from the restaurant business to become a pilot, Kevin started the Smiling Moose Deli with his longtime friend and business partner, Bryan Brutsch. Together, they grew that business to over 20 restaurants before turning the reins over to the corporate gurus that still run it successfully today.
In 2011, Kevin and Bryan joined forces again and started Marg's World Taco Bistro with David McBride. The concept has enjoyed great success.
When Kevin is not working on one of his various business projects, you can find him kayaking, skiing, or flying airplanes. He enjoys spending his time with his wife, Nicolle, and their two children.
